This is a build you need to follow!!! π
As far as NC builds go this one is right up there as one of the best I’ve seen.

The detail on the whole install is outstanding.
You can see why the 2.5 swap is so popular even more so when you strap a turbo to the side of it.
Over 400hp on a standard 2.5 engine… It’s insane considering they came with less than 200hp from factory. π€ͺ
It just goes to show how the NC is to my mind the best MX5 they made… Yeah yeah.. I’m sure I’ll get stick for that comment from the NA & NB owners. π But.. seriously on a standard 2.0 engine you can run 300hp all day long.
It’s great power for a street car without much work in the grand scheme of things compared to a NA / NB build.
TX Track NC (NC HAMR) has since made a few improvements to the engine, which has netted some serious power.
Their old turbo setup was;
Standard 2.5 Duratec
GTX3076 Gen1
Tial .62 AR
They have built a fully forged 2.3 engine using the DISI block with the 2.5 head.
Spec details they gave me;
2.3 DISI Block
2.5 Cylinder Head
Mountune Springs / Retainers
Custom CAMS
Aged 925 Head Studs
Garrett GTX3576 Gen2
Tial .83 AR
Coupled with a mountain of supporting mods to keep the car running efficient at them power levels.
This has netted an amazing 646hp π₯π₯π₯π₯
I couldn’t even imagine what that would feel like in a MX5, It’s a good job they use a sequential gearbox to take the power.
Hats off to you sir for creating such an amazing build. π
