So after my stupidity of deciding to sell up my old car π€·ββοΈ. The main soul of the car lives on.
All the engine / turbo / exhaust / Dash setup etc went to a good friend Jim who was building a red mk1, so it worked out quite well for him.
We had a long chat about what he was after and needed and after much bargaining we agreed on a price. π°
It was quite a moment as he transferred the money and after we spoke on the phone we both felt rather sick, for him spending such a large amount of money and for me loosing the heart of the build that gave me a lot of enjoyment, it almost got to the stage I was going to send the money back and say I’m keeping it. π
But… as you can see he has created such a lovely car, I really do have to take my hat off to Jim, he has done a amazing job and the attention to detail is spot on, I’d go say he has done a better job than me but then I’d be lying. π
The look of the car really does suit the power it is outputting. It’s quite nice as I get the still see the car at local meets plus I get to hear that mega amazing exhaust note at wide open throttle. ππ
What worries me is he has offered to sell it to me!! What do I do?? π€·ββοΈ
Once I’ve built the red NC we are going to do a little collaboration YouTube video and photo shoot, plus we may squeeze in a little NA vs NC rolling race, which should be interesting. π
